About the author

Andrew Tracy has joined real screen as Associate Editor in 2021, after 17 years as Editor-in-Chief of the award-winning international film magazine cinema scope. He also served as senior editor at the Toronto International Film Festival from 2010-2020, where he oversaw the flagship publication for the organization’s year-round Cinematheque program and edited its first original monograph in a decade, Steve Gravestocks A History of Icelandic Film. He was a screenwriter and consultant for the first season of the television series Vice The Vice Guide to Filmand his writing and reporting has been published in media such as cinema scope, reverse shot, image & sound, movie theater, film commentary, MUBI notebook, povAnd Assembly.
