Türkiye opened its first Metaverse office on Tuesday, the country’s communications director said.

At the opening ceremony, Fahrettin Altun said that the Communications Directorate is closely following the new information channels that have emerged with digital transformation and aims to increase representation on these platforms.

“I am very pleased to announce that our Directorate of Communications is the premier public authority in the meta-universe when it comes to leading these new generation technologies,” Altun said.

“As the first step in our Directorate’s Web3 Transformation and Metaverse strategy, we are launching our Meta Office today, accessible via mobile devices from anywhere in the world,” he added.

Altun said that pioneering the emerging Web3 and Metaverse ecosystem around the world will provide important opportunities in the country’s path to global power.

“Truth is and will always be our most important slogan in the metaverse and in the digital world, just as it is in the real world. All technological and digital impositions that ignore the truth and people are impositions that we must resist and fight against,” he said.

“We must work hard to create a fair, people-centric and secure world, and we must make these efforts in new digital universes as well,” he added.

Altun later examined the area where the Presidency Communications Presidency Metaverse Platform resides in the Metaverse.
