So, I enjoyed the first season of And just like that… for what it was: frivolous fun, much like yesterday’s series. Yes, they’ve made an effort in terms of diversity, but fundamentally viewers still want a fluffy, fun show. And so it was worth highlighting the silly parts of the season that conveyed the sentiment like a horror comedy sometimes. It wasn’t just them big villain Che Diaz, but also projectile vomit and these texts between Carrie and Samantha, who ended the season.

That scene actually felt like the show was either mocking or trying to influence Kim Cattrall finally agreeing to a return for season two. If that were the case, such a tactic would run counter to Cattrall’s own tactics very public lack of interest in visiting Samantha again. And yet it became clear on the show that Sam and Carrie reunited as booze-loving friends (which I realize is a wild, possibly inappropriate word).
Well, whatever happens, Netflix must have a sense of humor because a show starring Kim Cattrall is releasing on June 22, which is the same day And just like that… returns for Season 2. About deadline:
Netflix has scheduled June 22 for the world premiere of Glamorous starring Miss Benny and Kim Cattrall.
Created by Jordon Nardino, Glamorous tells the story of Marco Mejia (Miss Benny), a young, gender-nonconforming queer man whose life seems stuck until he gets a job with legendary makeup mogul Madolyn Addison (Cattrall). It’s Marco’s first chance to find out what he wants out of life, who he really is and what being queer really means to him.
Nothing beats a little healthy competition, right? Luckily, we can have our non-Manolos and wear them too by streaming both shows. Only. How. The.
