Netflix will premiere the fifth season of its Emmy-nominated dating show love is blind in September. The news was revealed on Wednesday during Netflix’s virtual preview.
love is blind follows a series of single men and women from a certain metropolitan area (most recently Seattle in season 4) who go on blind speed dates in adjoining rooms called “pods” and get engaged without ever seeing each other in person.
The hugely popular show, hosted by Vanessa and Nick Lachey, was is one of the most streamed series on Netflix in April, just behind No. 1 The night agent.
It was supposed to be a live reunion special to wrap up season four did not materialize due to “technical difficulties”. and aired about 19 hours later, but the special, taped in front of an in-person audience, garnered high ratings with 6.5 million viewersaccording to Netflix.
love is blind was already renewed in March 2022 until the fifth season.
