Companies like Blockbuster and Amazon Prime Video are targeting Netflix for cracking down on account sharing by charging additional members.
Password sharing has long been neglected by Netflix since its inception. With one of her most beautiful read infamous tweets, “Love is to share a password”. Although this is not allowed in its rules and at times it is even recommended for its users to do so, the company is now trying to tackle the issue in a much stricter way.

However, in the past week Netflix has sent out emails in various regions stating that a Netflix account is for “single household use only” and anyone else not living with you around $4.99 to $7 depending on the region have to pay $.99.
However, it appears that companies like Blockbuster and Amazon Prime Video are targeting Netflix early in their crackdown.

Funnily enough, Netflix had a 10-episode sitcom called Blockbuster, set in a video rental store and through their owners.

Blockbuster Targets Netflix Over Password Sharing Raid
Even Prime Video is attacking Netflix, responding to the infamous tweet with a cheeky image that reads “Who’s watching?” “Anyone who has our password” stylized in profiles.
Despite the cheeky tweet, it’s not certain that streaming services like Amazon Prime Video and HBO Max would follow in Netflix’s footsteps and crack down on password sharing.
