AMC co-leads Emma Miller and Carrie Gillogly are joining Netflix - Variety


Emma Miller and Carrie Gillogly, the co-directors of Scripted at AMChave both left the classic cable TV service and secured new roles at Netflix.

Miller has previously joined the streaming giant as director of overall deals and series for the US and Canada. Gillogly is expected to soon join Netflix directing drama series for the US and Canada. Miller reports to Nne Ebong while Gillogly reports to Jinny Howe.

“Emma and Carrie are talented leaders, great friends and trusted colleagues who have made significant contributions to our original programming group over many years,” an AMC spokesman said in a statement. “We are their biggest fans and support them as they seek new opportunities.”

Miller and Gillogly were promoted to head of scripting at AMC in 2020, with the two reporting to Ben Davis, executive vice president of scripting. Gillogly originally joined AMC in 2012 while Miller joined in 2014. Her time at the network has included work on shows such as Fear the Walking Dead, The Walking Dead: World Beyond and Hell on Wheels for Miller, with Gillogly appearing on shows such as The Terror, Into the Badlands ‘, ‘The Son’ and ‘Dispatches From Elsewhere’.

Davis continues to lead the screenwriting group at AMC under Dan McDermott, President of Entertainment and AMC Studios. Her current programming includes several shows from the Anne Rice universe, as well as several Walking Dead spinoffs and upcoming shows such as Orphan Black: Echoes, Parish, Monsieur Spade and the Apple TV+ series Silo.
