In case you haven’t heard the news, HBO Max has officially been renamed to Max This week, the shiny new service combines Discovery Plus’ content libraries with Warner Bros. Discovery’s former flagship streamer.

Below we’ve picked seven of the biggest newcomers that are worth checking out NetflixMax and Apple TV Plus in the next days.
FUBAR (Netflix)
Arnold Schwarzenegger returns to ass-kicking action this weekend in the new Netflix comedy series FUBAR (capital letters provided).
In this eight-part adventure, the terminator Star plays a CIA agent who is forced out of retirement and finds out that his daughter (Top Gun: Maverick(Monica Barbaro) actually works for the American foreign intelligence service. Forced to work together as partners, the two quickly become embroiled in a globe-spanning mission to save the world (of course!).

Clone High (Max)
This weekend it comes with surprisingly little fanfare (for what is basically a Max launch title). clone higha new adult animated comedy series from Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse Authors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller.
Well, we say “new,” but clone high — which follows a group of high school teenagers who also happen to be clones of famous historical figures — actually ran for 13 episodes in 2002 before being summarily canceled by MTV. Since then, the series has gained cult status, and this rebooted version appears on Max with many of its original voice actors.
Critics have described clone high as “blissfully silly,” suggesting that Lord and Miller – along with co-writer Bill Lawrence – created one of these best max shows for comedy fans. There is no information yet on when the series might be released in the UK.

Platonic (Apple TV Plus)
Apple has engaged the services of Neighbors Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne co-stars for his latest foray into comedy-drama. Platonic.
From the minds of friends from college This 10-part series from creators Nick Stoller and Francesca Delbanco follows two former childhood best friends (Rogen and Byrne) as they try to rekindle their friendship after a dramatic argument in adulthood.
reviews for Platonic have called the series “the perfect modern buddy comedy,” so this one could be a safe bet for a spot on our list Best Apple TV Plus Shows in 2023.

Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai (Max)
Who saw this coming? Arrive on the side clone high There’s another animated Max launch title coming this weekend Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai.
Serving as a prequel to Joe Dante’s original 1984 film, this spin-off of the Gremlins film series follows a young Sam Wing who first meets Gizmo in 1920’s Shanghai. Ming-Na Wen, BD Wong, James Wong and Matthew Rhys lead the voice cast, which also includes the likes of Sandra Oh and George Takei.
The first two episodes of Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai are available to stream now on HBO Max, with the remaining eight episodes arriving weekly every Tuesday. British viewers are likely to be streaming the series on Sky and NOW in the coming months.

US-born Chinese (Disney Plus)
Shortly after their respective Oscar winners, Everything everywhere at once Stars Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan and Stephanie Hsu reunite for the new Disney Plus action comedy series American-born Chinese.
Adapted from the graphic novel of the same name by Kelvin Yu and directed by Shang Chi Helmer Destin Daniel Cretton’s eight-episode drama follows an American high school student whose encounter with a foreign exchange student plunges him into a war between Chinese mythological gods
Ben Wang and Poppy Liu also star American-born Chinesewhich critics have described as “the unofficial encore to”. Everything everywhere at Once.” Make of it what you want.

The Glade (Hulu, Disney Plus)
If you’re in the mood for a scare this weekend, you’ve come to the right place The Gladewhich is now streaming on Hulu in the US and Disney Plus in the UK.
This eight-part Australian crime thriller – adapted from the novel by JP Pomare In the clearing – revolves around the mysterious Freya, whose dark past may hold the key to stopping a religious cult from gathering children and forcing them to carry out their grand master plan. Happy stuff!
Teresa Palmer, Miranda Otto and Guy Pearce star The Glade, which has received critical acclaim for its performances and storytelling. We hope the series is one of them best hulu shows for some time.

Prehistoric Planet Season 2 (Apple TV Plus)
This week’s selection of documentaries is Prehistoric Planet Season 2 streaming in full now on Apple TV Plus.
Essentially, it’s a CGI-enabled version of the popular BBC series planet Earth (if the latter were 66 million years ago), this follow-up season to last year’s Prehistoric Planet also promises a guided tour of various prehistoric habitats and their respective dino inhabitants.
This time, the giant Hatzegopteryx, the ancient Pachycephalosaurus and the world’s largest predator – the Mosasaurus – are the focus of the creatures.
