From thrilling Amazon Prime originals to Avatar: The Way of Water, finally available on Max, there’s no shortage of it movies wolf down. WWD summarizes the best innovations here movies to enjoy all month long.

“My mistake”

A modern day Romeo and Juliet, My Fault explores the forbidden love of two teenagers, Noah (Nicole Wallace) and Nick (Gabriel Guevara). Plot twist: They are step-siblings. Although Noah and Nick are diametrically opposed at first glance, their rivalry is overwhelmed by an irresistible attraction that cannot separate them.

“Something is wrong with the children“

Margaret (Alisha Wainwright) and Ben (Zach Gilford) embark on a journey with longtime friends, but what starts out as a healthy weekend quickly turns into every parent’s worst nightmare. After the kids (Briella Guiza and David Mattle) disappear into the woods overnight, Ben begins to suspect something supernatural is happening when the kids start acting strange.

“Extraction 2”

Fans of Chris Hemsworth can rejoice. Tyler Rake, a former SASR operator turned black market mercenary, has returned from the brink of death and is ready to face another impossible mission: rescue the imprisoned family of a ruthless gangster.

The Oscar-nominated film Avatar: The Way of Water is finally coming to Max. Directed by James Cameron, the thriller explores the story of the Sully family as they grapple with the beauties and difficulties of living in a majestic ocean brings.

“Magic Mike’s Last Dance”

Channing Tatum is back for one last hurray. When Mike Lane is heavily in debt, he takes the stage one last time – this time in London. With everything at stake, the former stripper teaches his way to a new group of dancers.

Based on the book by LeBron James and Pulitzer Prize-winning author of Friday Night Lights Buzz Bissinger, Shooting Stars takes viewers on James’ journey to becoming a basketball star. The film explores James and his friend’s journey to becoming the best high school team in the country, which was an important step in James’ attainment of iconic status.

“Flamin’ Hot”

Flamin’ Hot follows the life of Richard Montanez, a Frito-Lay caretaker who uses his tasteful background to create the global phenomenon Flamin’ Hot Cheetos. Directed by Eva Longoria, this comedy-drama tells the true story of a man who revolutionized the food industry one Cheeto at a time.

“chevalier”

Based on the life of Joseph Bologne, the illegitimate son of an African slave and a French plantation owner, “Chaveliar” explores Bologna’s rise as a celebrated musician in French society, including an ill-fated love affair with Marie Antoinette.

“Jagged Ghost”

Just in time for Pride Month, this queer psychological thriller chronicles the life of Billie (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) as she discovers she’s stuck in a series of time warps — most likely related to her mysterious new girlfriend.
